Anyone who was around for the ‘90s art and club scenes in New York City is probably familiar with the name Kelly Cole— or shall I say, DJ Kelly Cole. The DJ, venue creator and actor is a lifelong veteran of the entertainment industry, and he’s also trying his hand at the world of luxury fashion. The multifaceted entrepreneur’s lifestyle brand includes a line of apparel and accessories that are a true testament to his world and personal style.
To say that Cole has experience with entrepreneurship and customer service would be the understatement of the century. As the pioneer of New York City’s club scene back in the late ‘80s, the renowned DJ not only played at the city’s top venues— he made them. SPY Lounge and BLACK AND WHITE are just a few of his own creations, and aside from those legendary nightspots, he has played extensively at premier events and was a pillar at top clubs in both L.A. and New York. Also known to dabble in interior design and fashion, his impressive and extensive clientele include the likes of The Rolling Stones, Madonna, Heidi Klum, Charlize Theron, Brooke Shileds, Ben Harper, and Johnny Knoxville— just to name a few.
After a few stints with fashion collaborations, Cole is relishing in his brand new, namesake flagship store in LA. Complete with a product line of apparel, art, furniture, accessories, and a select inventory of hand-picked vintage items as well as the Kelly Cole line, the shop is more like an experience than a retail store. Among the items sold are graphic T’s, premium denim, and leather accessories like belts and bags.

The brand’s inaugural line of denim includes one style for men and two for women (one skinny, one flared) in two washes each. Designed for versatility to be worn with either chic or casual outfits, the jeans range in price from $158 to $168 for men and $168 to $176 for women.
The hand-cut, hand-texturized belts are made from the finest quality leather and solid brass custom hardware. Choose from a simple plain strap, or step it up with a harness buckle, pyramid studs, or cut out circles and squares.

Bags come in two different styles, but both are crafted from sturdy, supple, top grain cowhide. The $140 messenger style comes in black or brown with solid brass hardware, and the utility “Kelly” style comes in black or brown and is hand whipstitched for the same price.
