Gucci SS15: Frida Giannini Takes Us Back Through The Decades to the Stylish '70s

Remember Mila Kunis strutting around in her perfectly-styled outfits as Jackie Burkhart on That ‘70s Show? Gucci’s collection is basically the equivalent for women of today as their runway was filled with patterns, silhouettes and textures straight out of the ‘70s. Plunging necklines, multicolored fur, and those iconic, high-waisted pants were modern replicas of all the chic designs our mothers probably wore at our age. It didn’t hurt that even accessories were given a vintage vibe with brown leather satchels, printed silk scarves tied at the neck and more woven belts than it seemed like they knew what to do with. While it’s not unfamiliar territory for designer Frida Giannini, the pieces in this collection were dead-on, expertly recalling decades gone by without it actually looking like any time had gone by.
