Hotel Del Coronado
EPIC Entertainment Group proves There’s No Place Like The Del with “A Holiday in Oz” at the iconic Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California. Thousands of families visited the opening week to experience the “Yellow Brick Road” tree trail. There is also an all-new “Wonder of Oz” lightshow on the world’s first electrically lit outdoor Christmas Tree. Renowned for crafting extraordinary live experiences, EPIC Entertainment Group has once again brought holiday magic to the iconic hotel.
Returning for the fifth consecutive year, guests can step into “A Holiday in Oz,” a whimsical celebration that captures the wonder, color, and imagination of L. Frank Baum’s timeless tale brought to life through thematic décor, innovative design, and EPIC’s signature storytelling magic.
"Designing A Holiday in Oz for a property as iconic as Hotel del Coronado is a creative opportunity we’re incredibly proud of," said Steve Sheldon, Managing Partner at EPIC Entertainment Group. “Our partnership with The Del continues to grow each year, and we’re thrilled to once again transform the resort with an experience that feels both unexpected and like home.”
The “Yellow Brick Road Tree Trail” has truly raised the bar on immersive holiday decorations with four custom 12-foot character trees designed by EPIC to reimagine Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion through bold colors, intricate textures, and handcrafted details. At the heart of the property stands the breathtaking 22-foot Lobby Tree, themed as “The Road to Oz” and adorned with more than 1,500 hand-placed ornaments, including a radiant spiral of yellow ornaments representing the Yellow Brick Road itself. Additional scene-stealing creations, from the dramatic Wicked Witch of Oz Tree to the shimmering Glinda of Oz Tree, extend the story across the resort. Guests have been eagerly exploring every corner, sharing that each tree feels like stepping into a new chapter of the tale.
The enchantment continues outdoors with EPIC’s signature holiday light spectacular. The century-old Norfolk Island Pines on the Founders Lawn, famous as the world’s first electrically lit outdoor Christmas trees, have become living art once again. This year’s Wonder of Oz Lightshow Spectacular debuts a dazzling new theme, featuring more than 80,000 synchronized lights dancing to an Oz-inspired twist on classic holiday music; the show has become one of the season’s most talked-about moments.

Burberry for Claridge’s
Claridge's in London, the legendary Mayfair hotel’s much-anticipated annual Christmas tree is designed by Daniel Lee, Chief Creative Officer of Burberry.
The tree, which brings together two illustrious British icons, is a traditional 16ft tree decorated with approximately 600 bows – a Victorian symbol of unity – made from surplus Burberry fabrics. The tree also features hanging bells and chess-piece decorations, the latter inspired by the house’s Equestrian Knight Design. The design was crowd-sourced from a public competition to create a new logo for Burberry circa 1901, a testament to the house’s dialogue with its communities.
The top of the tree is adorned with a gold crown topper, while the base will feature oversized floor-standing chess pieces. The Claridge’s Christmas Tree has long been a seasonal London landmark and symbolizes the start of the festive season in the capital. This is the fifteenth year Claridge’s has invited a distinguished hotel guest and friend to reinterpret the Christmas tree in their own distinctive style.

Urs Fischer for The Connaught
The Connaught Christmas Tree 2025 has been designed by influential Swiss-born contemporary visual artist Urs Fischer. This marks the start of the festive season on Mount Street in the heart of Mayfair and the tenth year The Connaught Christmas Tree has been designed by a celebrated artist.
The magnificent Nordmann Fir tree, sourced from Denmark, stands 31 feet tall on Carlos Place and aims to highlight the spirit of Christmas as a luminous celebration of togetherness. Drawing inspiration from Fischer’s installation People – first seen in 2022 at Gagosian in New York – this tree imagines a global community gathered in joy. Spheres filled with AI-generated faces, each illuminated from within by LED light, evoke people from all ages, races, and places sharing in collective experiences.
The tree underscores Fisher's belief that art should welcome everyone in. It’s a portrait of togetherness – simple, bright, and full of life. The Connaught Christmas Tree 2025 by Urs Fischer will shine bright and illuminate Carlos Place until the first week of January 2026.

David Laport for Riggs Washington DC
This season, Riggs Washington DC, a Lore Group hotel, welcomes Dutch couture designer David Laport as its 2025 holiday tree collaborator, unveiling Golden Origins—a glowing celebration of craft, heritage, and celestial beauty. The design takes inspiration from gold, a material born in the heart of stars and tied to Riggs’ legacy as a Golden age “Bank of Presidents.” Taking center stage in Riggs' 18-foot ceiling lobby, Laport’s tree shimmers with sculptural pleats and handmade golden ornaments, each piece formed in his atelier and shaped with the same meticulous artistry that defines his couture collections.
The result feels both luminous and architectural—a constellation of light that nods to Riggs’ storied past while embodying the warmth and wonder of the season. Laport's approach—feminine, poetic, and experimental—translates effortlessly into Riggs' character, where history and modernity meet in graceful balance. The golden folds of the tree echo Riggs' ornate detailing and the quiet elegance of its interiors, creating a celebration that feels timeless yet alive, as if touched by starlight. Laport’s designs extend across the Lore Group portfolio, as Laport additionally presents Riggs’ sister hotel, Pulitzer Amsterdam’s holiday tree, Festive Sparks, inspired by fireworks.

David Laport for Pulitzer Amsterdam
Pulitzer Amsterdam, the famed heritage hotel of Lore Group in the heart of Amsterdam’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed canal belt, has joined forces with renowned Dutch couture designer David Laport to present the hotel’s annual holiday tree, Festive Sparks. Set within 25 restored 17th- and 18th-century canal houses spanning both the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht, Pulitzer Amsterdam blends monumental history with modern Dutch luxury, making it the perfect stage for this couture collaboration.
Inspired by the magic of the Pulitzer Flower Suite and the brilliance of fireworks, the design is an explosion of light, color, and energy. Laport presents a tree shimmering with champagne-hued ornaments in the shape of fireworks — capturing the sparkle of New Year’s Eve, the joy of togetherness, and the precision of couture.
Celebrated for his ethereal pleating, architectural forms, and explorations of craft, Laport translates hand-embroidered 3D textiles into vibrant, celebratory shapes in a design drawn from his latest couture collection.
Completing the Pulitzer holiday experience, guests may savor a bespoke craft cocktail inspired by the tree in Pulitzer’s Bar or take home a collectible ornament designed to be worn, displayed, and treasured. David Laport’s collaboration extends across the Lore Group portfolio to Riggs Washington DC, Pulitzer’s sister hotel in the US capital, with Golden Origins, a tree inspired by the Golden Age of banking.
