Aerin Lauder to Release Anticipated Beauty Line this Fall

Aerin Lauder should know a thing or two about beauty — after all, she is the granddaughter of luxury cosmetics pillar Estée Lauder. Lucky for us, the beauty buff is putting her experience of growing up surrounded by experts to good use by releasing her own beauty line under her grandmother’s label. AERIN by Estée Lauder is in its first stages, but we expect the line will flourish with Aerin’s knowledge and expertise.
AERIN Beauty is just a fragment of the entrepreneur’s overall lifestyle brand, but the stylish mother did not disappoint in the cosmetics department. The base of the collection is made up of Aerin’s “Essentials”— including a Fresh Skin Compact Makeup, a cream-to-powder foundation in six shades; Pretty Bronze Illuminating Powder in two shades; Multi Color for Lips and Cheeks; Rose Lip Conditioner; Rose Hand and Body Cream; an Essential Makeup Bag, and a Brush Essentials set. The “Essentials” products range from $28 to $48, with the brush kit priced at $148.
Aside from the line’s “Essentials” base, Aerin is also excited to contribute seasonal palettes starting this fall. Consisting of two categories, “Fall Color Weekday” and “Fall Color Weekend,” her first seasonal collection is ample with must-have beauty staples. With products ranging from $30-$170, both “Weekday” and “Weekend” consist of a palette, lip gloss and lipstick — products that she describes as “mistake-proof makeup.” The fashion icon known for her simply chic style translates her own look into a makeup palette, which she insists are beauty essentials that will help women feel confident and pretty, while balancing work, home and family. Quite the family woman herself, Lauder is living proof that women can have it all, and look good at the same time.
Beauty isn’t the only component of the AERIN brand. The chic business woman will also debut tabletop and home accessories for Holiday 2012, jewelry for Spring 2013, and a life and style book for Fall 2013. She plans to focus on and expand the home goods category in a couple of years once the brand is more established, adding luxury linens like sheets and towels. Needless to say, while the projects that the entrepreneur has coming up span over several categories, it seems like a natural progression for the protégé of one of the most influential cosmetics brands of our time— and we can’t wait to see what Aerin comes up with.
