Eco-Friendly Jewelry With an Indie Twist

Luxury brand Mociun can best be described as a collection of aesthetically pleasing prints, jewelry, and garments. Its founder, Caitlin Mociun, strives to use recycled, organic and alternative materials, and the result is a stunning line of “arts and crafts,” as Mociun puts it. The New York City-based brand includes an impressive jewelry collection that is both understated and eye-catching, and we just have to share it with you.
The brand was established by Mociun in 2006, following a 10-year stint in Asia and an education at the Rhode Island School of Design. Today, she focuses on using recycled gold and diamonds taken from antique jewelry to transform them into modern day masterpieces. She realized her vision and motivation early on: crafting from an early age and developing a passion as she matured, Mociun decided as she started her company that if she was going to be creating and selling products, she wanted to do it in a way that made her feel good. To Mociun, that meant producing as little waste as possible while dually supporting her community.
The jewelry line is the most successful sector of her brand, with a strong following and loyal customers. Using materials like gold, turquoise, and diamonds and other precious stones, Mociun creates necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets that take on a range of different geometric shapes and forms. Cylinders, cubes, triangles, and squares are made plain or with accompanying stones to satisfy whatever look you’re going for.
