Since 1995’s GoldenEye, the Omega Seamaster has been James Bond’s watch of choice. The timepiece has been outfitted with detonators, grappling hooks, lasers and explosives over the last 20 years, and has served the secret agent pretty well, saving him (and the world) from some pretty harrowing predicaments. To celebrate their ongoing partnership, Omega has released the new limited-edition Seamaster 300 Spectre, the latest model worn by 007 in the upcoming film, for purchase.

While Spectre won’t be out until November of this year, collectors (and fans) can get their hands on the latest Seamaster model as early as this September. The watch will be limited to 7,007 pieces (such an appropriate number) and will combine the best of both traditional watchmaking and high-tech spy style. While it won’t shoot lasers or make anything explode, it will feature a ceramic, bi-directional, rotating diving bezel, a “lollipop” central seconds hand and a LiquidMetal 12-hour scale, so that time can be kept around the world. The strap buckle is engraved with the 007 gun logo and the back of the watch face is signed with it’s own serial number and the Spectre film logo. It’s all very James Bond.

Daniel Craig even stopped by the Omega factory in Villeret, Switerland to see where his new spy gadget originated. During his tour of the facilities he was able to get up close and personal with some of the best watchmakers at Omega and saw how the piece was built. “I think what was so impressive was the fact that these watches are made from the ground up. You start with nothing, and then there’s suddenly a working watch. That’s the beauty of it,” he said of his experience. “To see the engineering that goes into it and the legacy that goes into it, that’s what fascinated me.”

The Omega Seamaster 300 Spectre will be available at select Omega boutiques in September. Priced at $7,500.
