Award-Winning Wines of Alexander Valley
White Oak Vineyards & Winery

White Oak Vineyards & Winery’s story started in the 1970s, when founder Bill Myers purchased a vineyard in the Alexander Valley and began to make small lots of handmade artisan-quality wines. He quickly became known for his outstanding Chardonnay, Zinfandel, and Sauvignon Blanc. In 1991, Bill took home his first Sonoma County Harvest Fair Sweepstakes Award for his 1990 Sonoma County Chardonnay, and, more recently, the 2004 Sauvignon Blanc won the sweepstakes award again in 2005.

Today, Winemaker Bill Parker shows incredible winemaking talent in his 90+-rated, medal-winning wines and keeps White Oak positioned as a world-class winery. White Oak currently produces five artisan-quality wines for national distribution, plus three additional wines, available only through the tasting room in the Alexander Valley.

The award-winning wines come from the winery’s 750 acres of estate vineyards. White Oak’s Russian River Valley vineyards produce Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, while its Napa Valley vineyards produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah. And from the vineyards around the Alexander Valley tasting room come the precious grapes used to produce a small bottling of the winery’s legendary Old Vine Zinfandel and its Reserve Bordeaux Blend, both sold only in the tasting room.

With three different wine clubs and many special events held throughout the year, White Oak Vineyards & Winery offers many opportunities to taste its exemplary wines. Guests can bottle their own Zinfandel from 85-year-old vines on Barrel Tasting Weekend, enjoy succulent fresh-cooked Dungeness crab at the winery’s Crab Feast, and cheer on their favorite horse over a special mint julep at the Kentucky Derby Gala.

Another favorite is the Lobster Lunch, served at White Oak’s massive 60-footlong table. Savvy guests visit the White Oak website to sign up early for these events and to simply see what’s new at this distinctive winery located in the heart of the Alexander Valley.
