New York-based Concierge Auctions will oversee the no-reserve auctioning of a custom-designed mountain cabin that sits in the heart of the See Forever Village in Telluride Mountain Village, Colorado. Because it's a no-reserve auction (which doesn't require a minimum bidding amount), the public determines how much a property is actually worth — though it's important to note that the cabin was originally listed for $3.9 million.
Near the Peaks Resort and Spa, the 3,296-square-foot stand-alone, deluxe cabin is numbered 152 in the village community, and is just a short distance from a number of activities including skiing, hiking, fishing and horseback riding. The home's interior is custom-furnished and detailed with various natural elements that reflect a woodsy-meets-luxury theme, like rough-sewn Douglas Fir beams and trusses. Other architectural details include floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings and Anasazi stone veneer accent walls. The cabin has two master suites, a bunk room and media room, 3.5 baths, three fireplaces, two steam showers and heated walkways that take you out to the slopes.
The Telluride Real Estate Corporation, an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate, will work with Concierge Auctions in coordinating the sale. The auction of Cabin 152 will be held live on August 29. The property will be open for preview daily from 2-6 p.m. by appointment only.
