Cars are great, but designer Slavomir Ozanik feels that they are starting to lose their appeal since we spend so much of our time in them—at some point driving even the nicest model can become routine. Wanting to bring some thrill back into transportation, one that is actually good for the environment, Ozanik has created the Mercedes-Benz Wind Power concept hydrocraft.
With a very supercar-like design, the Mercedes-Benz Wind Power has the potential to turn into a fully-functional watercraft since Ozanik had some help with the aerodynamics and construction details. The stylish concept uses wind for energy, and according to the designer, doesn’t utilize an engine of any kind as a back-up. Its clean energy is achieved by the craft’s lower hydro wings, which submerge into the water, and upper wings that are exposed to the wind.
The water vessel obviously wouldn’t be knocking cars off the road, but we wouldn’t mind cruising up the coast in it.
