The historic resort dates back to just after the Civil War and reopened in 2010 after a $140 million renovation. Hotel Vermont Opening in Burlington Spring 2013

Hotel Vermont, a 125-bedroom luxury hotel, is set to open Spring of 2013. The property expects to gain LEED-certification, and will draw guests searching for an authentic Vermont experience, including a Hen of the Wood Restaurant, one of the state’s favorite restaurant chains.

An outdoor terrace with an open hearth, features views of Lake Champlain. The hotel will also have 2,000 square feet of green roof space, along with a 7,500 square foot Harbor Terrace that features local artist Richard Erdman's bronze sculptures. The hotel will offer four meeting rooms, two of which are water-view function rooms with 1,100 square feet of space for meetings and events for up to 80 guests.
