Atlantic City Luxury Guide: Atlantic City is "Always Turned On" thanks to a revitalization of its world famous boardwalk, making it an epicenter of luxurious casino gaming, spas, world-class entertainment, nightlife, fine dining and shopping. Located right on the ocean, you can also golf, fish, and enjoy water sports and more on the world's longest boardwalk.

As the inspiration for the board game Monopoly, Atlantic City has a long history of fun and games to offer, since being built as a resort town back in 1854.

City Scene:
Atlantic City is divided into communities known as The North Inlet, The South Inlet, Bungalow Park, the Marina District, Venice Park, Downtown (Midtown), Ducktown, Chelsea, and Chelsea Heights.

The best places to live are found South of Albany Avenue and the casinos as well as in Ventnor and Ventnor Heights. For the tourist though, all along the boardwalk you can find some of the most luxurious hotels and the best attractions.

For shopping, the Atlantic City Outlets features stores including: Tommy Hilfiger, Nautica, Timberland, and Banana Republic. High-end fashion lovers will enjoy The Pier Shops at Caesars, the newest Atlantic City shopping destination, which features designers like Gucci, Ann Taylor, Armani, Movado, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, and Burberry. Many of the luxury hotels also feature their own shopping alleys with exclusive stores and unique shops.

Must Sees and Do's:
Although Atlantic City is best known for its casinos, its beachfront location is also home to many more attractions, suitable for families or those who like to step away from the tables now and then.

If you enjoy history, museums and culture, then pay a visit to the Atlantic City Historical Museum and Art Center on Garden Pier, or the Absecon Lighthouse, the Noyes Museum of Art.

If you enjoy the unusual, check out Lucy the Elephant, a large elephant shaped building that was built in 1881 and has been recently restored, both inside and out. Lucy has enjoyed various incarnations throughout the centuries and is a sight not to be missed.

Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall is a historic entertainment hall, with modern sound and lighting technology, making it the perfect place to catch a concert, sporting event or family show.

Wining and Dining:
With so many luxury hotels shooting up all over the boardwalk, so are many fine dining establishments and clubs. Food in Atlantic City ranges from "Boardwalk food" staples of hot dogs and pizza to epicurean delights from around the world.

The Borgata is home to Bobby Flay Steak. Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar in The Quarter at Tropicana has been serving patrons Cuban food in a 1950s atmosphere. Their extensive rum selection pays homage to wide array of Mojito choices, which are made using sugar cane pressed fresh daily on site. At night, the restaurant is transformed and features professional floorshows and salsa dancing.

Also in The Quarter at Tropicana is Providence, the hottest new nightclub in Atlantic City. The high-energy club features DJ "spinoffs," as well as bottle service and VIP lounge areas. Two DJ booths make the dance floor the place to be at night.

Don't forget to check out the wide array of dance clubs, beach bars, live entertainment, comedy clubs and special events that come to Atlantic City in addition to the classic fine dining establishments that are found along the boardwalk. Each year Atlantic City also hosts Restaurant Week, where restaurants featuring a variety of cuisines offer a prix fixe menu.
