Oceana Cruises added another luxury cruise liner to its fleet with Riviera. The 1,250-guest ship set sail on its maiden voyage earlier this month from Venice to Athens on her 10-day Pearls of the Aegean excursion.
“As Riviera embarks on her maiden voyage, our guests will no doubt be warmly welcomed by her officers and crew and they are also sure to be impressed by the sophistication and style of this magnificent ship,” said Kunal S. Kamlani, president of Oceania Cruises. “Riviera is a proud addition to the award-winning Oceania Cruises’ fleet.”
Riviera offers the ultimate experience for foodies, as the vessel features 10 dining venues including a French bistro by Master Chef Jacques Pépin. Six of the ten are open-seating, gourmet restaurants so guests are sure to find a menu they will love. A Canyon Ranch SpaClub® and Bon Appétit Culinary Center and Artist Loft enrichment center are among other exciting places to explore on board.
The interiors of this brand new cruise ship are sure to impress with the Lalique Grand Staircase as the focal point of the grand lobby and custom designed Italian chandelier lighting up the room. The look and feel of the 625 suites and staterooms was extremely important on Riviera, as they exude a cozy yet modern aesthetic.
For the Vista and Oceania suites, designer Dakota Jackson brought in 40 unique pieces of furniture and lighting fixtures to give the spaces more of an elegant apartment feel. The three, 2,000-square-foot Owner’s Suites are outfitted with chic items from the Ralph Lauren Home collection.
From May 16 through November 29, 2012, Riviera will enjoy her first season in and around Europe, with port of calls in France, Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Turkey, Israel, Croatia, Cyprus, Montenegro, Morocco and Monaco. Oceania Cruises will be adding over 1,000 new tours and vacation packages for guests to customize their itinerary and take advantage of potential savings.
