The Langham Huntington Pasadena is celebrating the new film Downton Abbey: A New Era, which opens in theaters May 20, with a Downton Abbey inspired afternoon tea.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their finest period attire, take photos in front of the resort’s Downton Abbey floral backdrop, shop for custom-designed headpieces and combs and enjoy a British-inspired tea.
The special Downton Abbey tea began May 15 and will continue May 21-22 and 28-29 with seatings at 11am and 1pm.
Savory treats include a Gruyere gougeres with tarragon chicken salad, Scottish smoked salmon with dill cream and capers on pumpernickel, truffle egg salad with crispy ham and cinnamon brioche and an English cucumber sandwich. Sweet treats include sticky toffee pudding, berry almond cake, a mini Victoria sponge cake, apple crumble pie, a palmier and a lemon shortbread cookie.
Black current and vanilla bean scones are also served with lemon cured, Devonshire cream and jam.
The special Downton Abbey Afternoon Tea is $68 excluding tax and gratuity.
