From the moment we stepped onto the grounds at Electrify Expo 2025 in Los Angeles, it was clear the show had leveled up. The crowd was larger, the energy more explosive, and the range of electric vehicles and mobility tech on display was overwhelmingly impressive.
Major Automakers Steal the Show
Once past the main gates, we were greeted by an expansive lineup from the auto industry's biggest players. Toyota and Volvo set the tone with practical EVs and hybrids. Toyota showcased its bold TRD Pro Tacoma Hybrid. Built for the outdoors, it featured high-clearance suspension and IsoDynamic seats for enhanced off-road comfort. The bZ4X, Toyota’s first mass-market EV, was also on display, continuing to signal the brand’s deeper dive into electrification. New for 2026, Toyota teased the upcoming bZ5X, a midsize three-row electric SUV expected to challenge the Rivian R1S and Kia EV9.

Ford brought out its all-electric trio including the Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning, and the new Mach-E Rally, a lifted, mud-ready variant with off-road tires, skid plates, a roof-mounted kayak, and rally-inspired styling.
Lucid Motors kept it sleek and elegant with its Air sedan lineup, including a deep crimson 2026 Lucid Air Sapphire and a matte black Lucid Gravity SUV, which debuts for 2026 with spacious three-row seating and advanced aerodynamics. Also impressive was their charge range, which now gets up ot 500 miles.
Lexus delivered a mix of electrified performance and luxury. The RZ 450e, with its gloss black front and minimalist cabin was popular at the display, while a their new 2026 concept, the LF-ZL showcased Lexus’ vision for a flagship electric SUV.
The 2026 Lineup Expands the Future
Cadillac unveiled the luxurious and beautiful Escalade IQ, a full-size electric SUV packed with premium tech and serious range. The sleeker Cadillac Vistiq, slotted just below the Lyriq, made its California debut as a 2026 model. The Vistiq was our favorite after test driving a bunch of SUVs at the show for it’s gorgeous and comfy interior and easy to navigate tech.
GM had a strong presence too, with the rugged 2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss and the family-friendly Equinox EV and Blazer EV, the latter of which was updated for 2026 with better range and faster charging.
Kia came with their newly updated EV6 GT, the bold EV9, and revealed their 2026 EV4, a compact crossover targeting urban commuters.

Ride Zones, E-Bikes, and Real-World Testing
The e-bike village offered a sampling of nearly every flavor of electric two-wheeler: urban commuters, scooters, folding bikes, and rugged mini-motos. Many brands allowed on-site test rides, giving a taste of everyday usability.
The test drive area remained a major attraction. Lines formed early for spins in vehicles from Ford, Tesla, Lucid, Toyota, Lexus, Porsche, GM, Kia, and Cadillac. Can-Am’s electric bikes were fully booked for most of the day—confirming strong interest in lightweight electric transport.
The demo zone kept kids entertained with pint-sized e-motos, while a rotating food truck lineup gave everyone a chance to recharge.
Electrify Expo Los Angeles was more than just a car show. It brought EV enthusiasts from all over California and beyond and was a full-scope look into the electrified lifestyle. With legacy automakers doubling down, startups carving their niche, and custom builders pushing boundaries, it’s clear that the EV world is no longer “emerging.” It’s here, it’s thriving, and it’s only just getting started. If you missed it this year, make sure LA 2026 is on your calendar. If you want to experience Electrify Expo this year, the expo will take place in Seattle on July 12-13 and San Francisco on August 23-24. Tickets at https://www.electrifyexpo.com.
