Health & Beauty: To most around the country, San Diego has a full-time summer season. With an average annual temperature of 72 degrees, San Diego really does seem to exist in a constant sunny season, and the expectation of having a summer-ready body seems just as constant, too.
Thankfully, Hot Body Pilates, located in the middle of downtown San Diego, is a serious studio dedicated to shaping bodies from the not so hot to the smoking hot. The most apparent proof is Hot Body Pilates' line-up of outgoing, perfectly toned trainers, all handpicked by the owner, Kloey Hanson. The Miss Fitness line-up of trainers all work within a brightly lit, well-equipped studio overlooking a busy downtown street.
Hot Body Pilates signature classes are one-on-one, which means there's no slacking, and ensures you get a just-for-you workout routine, customized for your goals. There's also an intense boot camp and semi-private lessons. After a few Pilates sessions at Hot Body Pilates, my preconception of Pilates as a demure, low-key exercise has slid away just as fast as my thigh blubber. Pilates bumps up your core strength and stability, according to Hot Body Pilates, and also improves circulation and your energy levels.
I'm even standing up a bit straighter. (Improved posture is another benefit of Pilates.) For me, it just might mean I'm carrying a hot body.
