With the holidays just around the corner, we're already thinking about what we’re hoping to find in our stocking this year—and it doesn’t come as much of a surprise that we’re in the market for something sparkly. And one label in particular has recently caught our eye: Unhada. Jocelyn Prestia’s fine jewelry brand is like something from an exotic dream. Sourcing rarely-used gems, like color-changing opals or multi-tonal gemstones, she’s created a line of necklaces, rings and earrings with character and a story to tell.

Prestia began her journey with jewelry in Bangkok, where she had originally intended to open an antique jewelry store. But living in Thailand led her to discover the brilliant and unique stones of the world and sparked a new interest in sharing the stories of these rare and exotic gems. She began making connections with local jewel distributors and started to create her own pieces using non-traditional materials like dendritic agate, iolite, hematite, sugilite and labradorite. Due to the nature of the stones and hand-crafted metalwork, no two pieces are exactly the same, which makes them one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

With glittering jewels and iridescent gems, the settings don’t need to be ornate to catch anyone’s eye, but Prestia fits each piece for a queen. The collection is nothing less than opulent, even in its simplest form. Drop pendant necklaces are surrounded by accent gems and solitary rings are given extensive metalwork or hide discreet diamonds. The most extravagant pieces hold nothing back and layer on the stones in a multitude of texture, color and shine, all enclosed in 18-karat gold. Some of our favorite pieces include a fringe necklace using Russian pyrite druzy, matrix opals, apatite and color-change garnets, and a pair of earrings inspired by Chinese acrobats that use lapis, sapphires, diamonds, iolite and amethysts.

Unhada is available online and at select boutiques. Priced from $1,025-$33,000.
