As the latest from Silver Yachts, this beauty runs for $86 million and is the longest in their fleet (though they do have several others in the design and production phase). Though it was surely named after its top speed of over 27 knots (31 mph), it is Silver Fast’s appearance that has us sold.

Uhoh! Microsoft Co-Founder's Yacht Destroys Protected Coral Reef

According to The Guardian, a 300-foot yacht owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen drove into a sensitive reef in the Cayman Islands on January 14, 2016, destroying 80 percent of the protected coral. His investment firm Vulcan released a statement, assuring that when the “crew was alerted by a diver that her anchor chain may have impacted coral in the area, [they] promptly, and on their own accord, relocated their position to ensure the reef was protected.”

Feadship unveiled their very first luxury yacht of 2016 last weekend at a ceremony in Isle of Kaag, Holland. Named Vanish, the 217-foot vessel is totally custom-made and features a “free-standing staircase flanked by a glass wall over three decks, an ingenious extendable balcony for the owner’s stateroom and a highly innovative transom design.”

Since then, Rougerie has developed other marine structures for mostly scientific purposes, but his newest project blows them all out of the water. Created to advance sea exploration, SeaOrbiter is a vertical vessel that is part ship and part submarine.

Talk about lucky—I’ve dreamt of Tom Hiddleston and I on a boat and it didn't come true. The superyacht this charmed lady ends up on is the 63m M/Y Irimari. Designed by Espen Øino, the design can accommodate 12 guests across six suites and has enough room for 17 crewmembers.
