Luxury Skiing: Don't go reaching for that beach towel just yet. There's still an abundance of snow from our extra cold winter season. And where there is snow there is skiing! So zip up that parka, wax up those skis, and don't forget to bring plenty of Chapstick. It's time to go skiing. With so many snow-covered mountains to choose from, it can be hard finding the perfect powder. We're here to help.

Colorado Skiing:

Aspen is the way to go with its four ski areas, more than 4,000 acres of terrain, and breathtaking scenery. Aspen Mountain and Aspen Highlands will suit both expert and intermediate skiers alike while Buttermilk Mountain is designated for beginners. For packages including lodging accommodations, air travel, ground transportation, lift tickets, rentals, and activities such as hot-air ballooning, www.Ski.com is your best bet. With offices located in Aspen, Ski.com will help you plan your perfect trip.

Just 20 minutes away is Snowmass, located within the Roaring Fork Valley. Known for its family-friendliness, Snowmass, offers a quaint village with plenty of fine dining and charming boutiques. Nearly all of the resort's lodging is located slope-side. For avid snowboarders, Snowmass boasts an amazing terrain garden and snowboard pipeline designed by world champion, Jimmy Scott.

Breckenridge, a historic mining town, offers something for every member of the family. The resort features four peaks with more than 2,000 acres, five terrain parks, four half-pipes, two high-speed six passenger chairlifts and the highest chairlift in North America. Your little snow angels can learn how to ride the slopes at the state-of-the-art children's ski and snowboard school while you tear it up at the snowboard park. The Kids' Castle offers the kiddos hours of entertainment with its waterslide and climbing wall inside the recreation center. And not to leave out mom and dad, Breckenridge has a wide variety of local watering holes, shopping, dining and nightlife.

With approximately 346 inches of snowfall each year and 300 days of sunshine, Vail is a skier's paradise. At more than 5,000 acres, stretching across seven miles, Vail is the largest single Ski Mountain in North America. Fifteen-hundred acres of which are "corduroy," making Vail one of the best groomed terrains out there. Vail is consistently ranked among the very best ski mountains in the world. A little sore from the slopes? That's nothing a day at a nearby spa can't fix. Also, there is ample shopping, galleries and nightlife. Before strapping those boots back on, fuel up at one of the 70 local restaurants ranging from fast-fixes to fine-dining.

Utah Skiing:

If Park City is worthy enough to have hosted the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, then this world-class resort will definitely please you. With eight peaks, The Canyons is Utah's largest ski mountain, located only 36 miles from the Salt Lake City Airport. Park City accommodates skiers of all levels, from beginner to intermediate to novice to expert. Wanna enjoy the snow-capped backdrop and leisurely coast your way down a lengthy hill? Then check out Summit House run.

And for the more extreme-skier, who wants to run with the big dogs, the bowls are right up your alley. Park City is home to the U.S. Ski Team and features racing trails, moguls' runs, and a new giant slalom course.

There's plenty to do off-slope, too. Explore a thousand miles of mining trails with Park City Mine Adventure, peruse the charming boutiques on Main Street, or enjoy a local specialty - a Cattleman's cut of Prime Rib.

Ski Canada:

Ranked as one of the best ski resorts on the continent, Whistler/Blackcomb resort offers both an amazing landscape and luxurious amenities. Though two separate mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb meet middles at one base village. This Canadian masterpiece covers more than 8,000 acres of ski-able terrain, a 5,000-foot vertical drop, 12 high-speed quads and three gondolas. Blackcomb features wide-open bowls while Whistler boasts its five-mile swoop down the mountain. There are plenty of luxurious lodging accommodations to choose from as well as several spa options available.

Ski Lake Tahoe:

Can't decide whether to go to Las Vegas or go skiing? Guess what, you can shoot craps and shred powder at the same time. Lake Tahoe rests on the Nevada/California border and has a vast amount of fun-filled activities to choose from. By day, you can take in the California sunshine and captivating views of the lake, while skiing Heavenly, Northstar or Squaw Valley. Heavenly is Tahoe's highest resort with nearly 5,000 acres of terrain, allowing you to ski down both California and Nevada at the same time. Squaw Valley has beginner runs that begin at the top of the mountain as well as three-and-a half miles of free lighted, night skiing. Cross Country skiers will enjoy the meticulously groomed terrain at Northstar, while ski-enthusiasts enjoy some of the natural, un-groomed grades. By night, you can play slots, hit the nightclubs and treat yourself to a lavish meal at one of the many fine-dining restaurants.
