In Barcelona a new hope has risen to combat the extreme unemployment suffered throughout the country. This new hope is a new focus and rise towards upstarting businesses who take the slow economy as an opportunity to get their foot in the door.
While dire circumstances face the Spanish economy during the second Eurozone recession of the last three years, there has been little cause for hope as far as employment goes. Spain currently has the highest unemployment rate out of all industrialized nations, but there is a shining light emanating from Barcelona, where the startup scene is flourishing.
Barcelona, Spain ó Joblessness has affected much of Spain with a rise to almost 26% unemployment. Tourism has been one of the only industries still managing to hold itís own and provide a degree of economic relief, but recent developments in the startup scene have also uncovered a beacon of hope.
