Waking up to crisp morning air confirms fall has arrived and it’s officially time to tuck away our favorite summer outfits. The change of season also comes change of wardrobe that often leads to a wardrobe makeover! Here are four fun, fashionable tips perfect for all budget types.

Dress Your Legs

Women of all shapes enjoy wearing black leggings during cool fall to frigid winter days. So, how do you dress up a basic piece of clothing? For under $100 you can purchase a beautiful Tunic shirt that covers and accentuates your beautiful body, perfectly.  Tunic shirts are perfect to dress up or dress down for any occasion.

A Little Something Sexy

As little girls and even during college and well into landing our first job, as women, we knew every woman should own a pretty black dress. Why not go an extra step and spice up your evening style and include a little something sexy. Plus sized dresses are now easier to find than ever before and while trends may come and go, a sexy black dress will forever remain. Basic black is extremely simple to accessorize, especially if you’re running out of time. Not sure where to go in something sexy? Why not host a little house party with a few girlfriends and request formal attire?

Introducing Colors

While wearing black might be your signature fashion look, don’t be terrified to include splashes of color. This season color of choice: using contrasting colors such as dark tones with pops of bright colors. For example mixing gray pants with a purple shirt or a hot pink sweater with black slacks. If that’s too bold, opt for smaller and colorful pieces like a bring manicure. Have a little fun by adding color to your nails – fashion is about fun, experimenting and going outside your comfort zone!

Cover Up

Wrap up this fall stylishly with a brilliant designed cape perfect for chilly weather. Wearing tailored trousers or a sleek skirt will bring your look completely together for the office. You can also enjoy wearing a cape cover for every day looks but make sure to read laundry carefully as many of these jackets are dry clean only. If you don’t like wearing capes, you can always try a fitting and curve hugging trench jacket ideal for dressing up any outfit. And, let’s face it; trench coats make any full figured woman look marvelous!

Accessories

As I stated before, wearing accessories is a nice and slow way to introduce color. Wearing small pieces such as bright earrings, rings or bracelets are ideal for dressing up gray and black outfits. If you’re on the market to add color, stick to small pieces to make a bold statement.  Scarves and gloves are great additions as well to not only keep warm but also adding a splash might turn some heads!

This season, enjoy! Don’t break the bank buying new items just to stay current with the trends so mix and match what you currently have in your wardrobe and go from there. Often times you can get away wearing pieces from other seasons to tie in to your fall/winter wear. Get creative with colors by mixing and matching color tones to add edge to an otherwise predictable look.
