The androgynous model Andrej Pejic has achieved something never before done by a man: He's the cover model for Elle Serbia this month. While his gender-neutral manner might be offensive to some, this is a big moment for those who believe gender roles are damaging to society as a whole. Andrej Pejic continues to push the gender boundaries by becoming the first male cover star for Elle magazine. The Bosnian-Australian androgynous model has landed his first cover for a mainstream magazine by gracing the January issue of Elle Serbia.

Pejic ditches his usual trademark platinum blonde locks and instead is photographed in a short black geometric-cut wig. He is also dressed in head-to-toe Jean Paul Gaultier, which was sent to the shoot by the designer himself after he found out about the concept for the cover.
