Andrej Pejic Breaks New Ground for Men

The androgynous model Andrej Pejic has achieved something never before done by a man: He's the cover model for Elle Serbia this month. While his gender-neutral manner might be offensive to some, this is a big moment for those who believe gender roles are damaging to society as a whole. However you feel about the issue, Pejic looks great in both male and female fashions and, since he can pull both off, I'd like to ask, "Why not?"

 

Andrej Pejic continues to push the gender boundaries by becoming the first male cover star for Elle magazine. The Bosnian-Australian androgynous model has landed his first cover for a mainstream magazine by gracing the January issue of Elle Serbia.

Pejic ditches his usual trademark platinum blonde locks and instead is photographed in a short black geometric-cut wig. He is also dressed in head-to-toe Jean Paul Gaultier, which was sent to the shoot by the designer himself after he found out about the concept for the cover.
