Anne Hathaway's Custom Shoes an Ideological Misstep

I think it's a little contradictory that Anne Hathaway had the shoes she wore to the New York premiere of Les Miserables custom made due to her vegan lifestyle, especially considering that more people are going to buy the regular ones now after seeing her wear them, thereby causing more leather to be produced and worn. And, even with this ideological misstep, the high-fashion outfit didn't look that great either.


For the New York premiere of Les Miserables, Anne Hathaway went more catwoman than Fantine on the red carpet. She wore a head-to-toe look from Tom Ford’s spring 2013 collection, dominatrix boots included.

Only they weren’t the exact same boots. See, Hathaway is vegan, and wearing those leather boots would go against her principles.
