Beers and anteaters? Seems like an odd combination, yes? We thought so, too. Until we found out it involved a benefit at Franklin Park Zoo.
Tomorrow night from 5 to 9 p.m., Franklin Park Zoo will host its third annual Brew at the Zoo. Here you can snack on all sorts of food from local restaurants and brewers while checking out the zoo’s signature Tropical Forest Pavilion, home to western lowland gorillas, a giant anteater and ring-tailed lemurs. While here, be sure to check out Zoorassic Park, the seasonal exhibit featuring more than 15 life-size animatronic dinosaurs.
Participating breweries for the event include Peak Organic Brewing Company, Blue Hills Brewery, Long Trail Brewing Co., Samuel Adams, Cambridge Brewing Company, Clown Shoes Beer, Watch City Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Tuckerman Brewing Company, Narragansett Beer, Mayflower Brewing Company, New Planet Beer, North Coast Brewing Company, 21st Amendment Brewery, Bantam Cider Company and Brooklyn Brewery.
Food will be provided by Doyle's Café, Piantedosi Baking Company, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Utz Quality Foods, Whole Foods, Tavolo Pizza, Ashmont Grill and Costco Wholesale. Music will also be provided by DJ BK.
Franklin Park Zoo is located at One Franklin Park Road in Boston. Tickets are $50 in advance and $60 at the door. For more information, call (617) 541-LION or visit www.franklinparkzoo.org.
