Few stars continue to inspire past their glory days, but Brigitte Bardot has served as the muse for artists from fashion to art and is now the inspiration for a photo exhibit at the luxurious Sofitel.
Highlighting the Sofitel's French roots, “BB Forever - Brigitte Bardot, The Legend,” begins at the Sofitel Los Angeles during Oscar week and finishes on March 30 before heading toSofitel properties in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC and New York.
The photographic exhibit showcases Bardot on her rise to fame, in all her iconic hairstyle glory. Curated by French author and journalist, Henry-Jean Savant, the collection is comprised of 30 never-before-seen snapshots, that showcase not only Bardot's sex appeal and timeless style, but also her film career and symbol of women's liberation. Later in the year, French actress will also be honored at an event at the legendary Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Los Angeles.
The special event marks the first time an exhibit featuring the international icon will appear in North America. To honor the occasion, Sofitel has created a special collector’s edition catalogue for the exhibit, which includes anecdotes and commentary about the "French Marilyn Monroe" as well as an editorial from Bardot herself.
