Luxury Designer Christian Louboutin just announced the opening of his first stand-alone men’s boutiques for the United States and United Kingdom markets. The retailer is making strides quickly after opening a Paris location almost a year ago.
Despite the recession and hard times in the fashion industry, menswear has seen overwhelming growth and it’s only natural that men’s footwear is next on the list as accessories are where designers are banking these days. And Louboutin designs the best.
Louboutin’s lines have grown from active sneakers to stylish, statement-making loafers and boots adorned with his signature details, like spikes and studs. An A-list favorite is the spiked “Rollerball” loafer; Louboutin released this design exclusively for rugby player, Gareth Thomas. These kicks aren’t just for the high-fashion metrosexual or dapper editors; these footwear lines are seen on the likes of NBA players and rappers Kanye West and Tinie Tempah.
And it’s all about location. Christian Louboutin joins the ranks of luxury fashion royalty opening on Dover Street in Mayfair, London this November and in the comparable overseas retail front in the chic Meatpacking District of New York, opening later this month.
