Dark Fashions Abound at SAG Awards

Maybe the mood was different for the Screen Actors Guild Awards or possibly it had something to do with being further into winter, but the stars showed up wearing much darker fashions than the awards shows earlier this season. Amy Poehler even traded in her pantsuit for a black dress.

 

The red carpet of the 19th annual SAG Awards took a dark turn from the vibrant ruby and cherry hues that dominated the gowns worn to the Golden Globes two weeks ago. Black and midnight blue were the colors du jour, an interesting departure from the jewel tones that seemed to be a shoe-in for this awards season.

Jessica Chastain was one of the only actresses to opt for red with a stunning Alexander McQueen — perhaps its part of a reverse-Obama effect that afflicts only Hollywood.
