Hotels I am Dying to Stay At
By: Mike   |    August 29, 2012   |   1 Comments (0) (0)

Unlike one of my previous series of articles that detailed the cities that I want to visit, the hotels on this list were chosen as if I wouldn’t be allowed to leave them during the duration of my vacation. Some are just downright cool, others are elegant retreats into luxury; however, no matter the case, they look to be absolutely amazing hotels.

Loch Lein Country House in Killarney, Ireland - A quiet country house hotel in the middle of the Irish countryside? Sounds like one of the most inspiring places on Earth.

Tambo del Inka a Luxury Collection Resort and Spa in Urubamba, Peru - This riverside Peruvian retreat comes equipped with everything I would need to revel in the beauty while on vacation in Peru.

Riad Kniza in Marrekech, Morocco - Reputed to have some of the best staff and service available in the hotel industry, plus a killer Moroccan breakfast, spacious rooms and serenity in an otherwise bustling city make this a place I’d love to stay.

Reid’s Palace by Orient-Express in Funchal, Portugal - Reid’s Palace is a cliff-side island retreat that offers up impeccable service, luxurious amenities and great food that are a highlight to a picturesque location.

Derwent House Boutique Hotel in Cape Town Central, South Africa - Complimentary port and sherry in the communal area of the hotel is just a brief glimpse of the stellar service at this South African location.

Golden Well (U Zlate Studne) in Prague, Czech Republic - Views of the Royal Gardens, a cobblestone courtyard and only 17 rooms (plus two suites) in the whole hotel makes this Prague hotel seem to offer one of the most relaxing destinations on Earth.

Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort in Hopkins, Belize - This place looks absolutely gorgeous. Add tons of activities, beautiful accommodations and high ratings across the board and Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort looks to be an impeccable retreat.

Taj Lake Palace Udaipur in Udaipur, India - A palace on a lake. No hyperbole here, I’m dead serious. A. Palace. On. A. Lake. Give me a reason not to want to stay there!

Anastasis Apartments in Imerovigli, Greece - Superb views accompanied with complimentary massages and a staff that is willing to bend over backwards for your whims and you’ve got yourself a spot well worth staying at.

The Phoenix Resort in San Pedro, Belize - More like a home away from home, the accommodations at The Phoenix Resort provide full apartment-style rooms in a bustling island-city environment.

I think there's a few more hotels on my bucket list but this is a good start.
