Once the party is over, the fun really starts when you have to clean up the mess you made barbecuing delicious meats and poultry for your guests. But cleanup doesn’t have to be a laborious task. In fact, once you have a handle on a few ways to clean up your barbecue grill, for example, each time you have a party, it will be easier and easier to clean up.
One method that works fairly well is to allow the grill to burn off. How you do that is simply leave your barbecue on after all the cooking is done. Make sure the grill is completely cool before you take to cleaning it off. You can use some kind of metal brush to clean the grates of the BBQ grill, which allows food residue to build up. This method is fairly easy, so you won’t have to spend a lot of effort to get it ready for the next BBQ.
Sometimes, a good old-fashioned soaking is what is needed in order to get the BBQ grill grates cleaned thoroughly. It’s not necessary; but if you did a large amount of cooking a variety of meats and you want it to be ready for your next barbecue, this may be the only method that will ensure that it’s completely cleaned, or at least cleaner than if you just took a metal brush to it.
Another way to clean a BBQ grill is a somewhat lesser known method, which is applying oil to the grill grates. And you do this before you even put the first steak on the grill. It’ll make cleaning the BBQ grill a lot easier once all the cooking is done. Naturally, you will still have some food residue to clean of the grill, but it will come off a lot easier if you had applied oil to the grates prior to cooking. In addition, oiling the grill helps to prevent your food from burning and possibly sticking to the grill.
Whichever method you decide to use to clean your BBQ grill will surely make clean up a lot easier, and depending which one you use, a lot faster, too.
