How to Install a Wall-Mounted Bathroom Faucet

Wall mounted bathroom faucets not only add functionality to the bathroom but will also give good look to the same.

These faucets are considered as perfect for those bathrooms having small sized counters. These counters are made available in wide range of finishes, designs and models.

The most important thing to be kept in mind while installing the wall mounted bathroom faucets is that the faucet should extend to the center position of the sink and should be positioned just above drain.

Following step wise method has to be followed when you are installing wall mounted bathroom faucet. First of all, you need to get professional plumber to rough in the connections.

If you are having necessary equipments and if you have time to spare, then you can do the installation process yourself. For installing these faucets, you will need to have a faucet, pencil and ruler, drill machine, Allen wrench, hot tap and cold tap, faucet handles.

You might need the services of professional plumber in order to handle the connections. Water supply has to be checked importantly. Otherwise, the entire faucet has to be removed once again in case of problem of water supply.

If you are replacing the conventional sink mounted faucet, you will need to change or relocate the internal water supply lines.

After the process of plumbing is finished, you have to decide the height of your new wall mounted bathroom faucet. You can decide at what height you will be conveniently using the faucet.

After selecting the right height, you need to mark it with pencil. Ensure that you are taking proper measurements. It has to be noted that at least one inch gap has to be maintained between top of the sink and the bottom of the faucet.

Make sure to mark the dimensions in this manner. Also, make sure that the distance or gap between the bottom of the faucet and the top of the sink is more than one inch, it would cause another problem i.e. splashing out of water from the sink.

So, make sure that the distance between the two is not more than one inch and not less than one inch.

After marking the level of place of your new wall mounted bathroom faucet, you have to drill the holes in the wall for the purpose of fastening the bolts.

During this process, you need to make sure that you are not drilling in to the pipes. For this you need to ensure that they are no wires or pipes behind the given location.

Attaching the Spout :

Next step is to attach the spout. For the purpose of attaching the spout to the given wall plate, you have to keep the washers and other equipment as mentioned by the manufacturer.

After you have attached the spout to the given wall place, and after you have positioned the washers, you would need to tighten the bolts. For the purpose of tightening the bolts, one can make use of Allen wrench.

In the next step, you have to fasten the spout and also the wall plate, to the wall. After you are completed with the step of attaching the spout to the wall plate, you have to position both of them to the wall. Ensure that you have positioned in the right place.

CHecking again :

Double check whether it is in the right place or not, because if it is in the wrong place and if you want to remove and replace it again, it would leave ugly looking marks on the wall.

Positioning :

Position them in the proper place from the holes which you have drilled earlier and after positioning them, fasten the bolds in to wall.

Now, you need to attach the suitable and necessary hardware. Once you are finished with the process of positioning and fastening the wall plate and spout to the wall, you have to attach the faucet handles.

After that, you will also need to attach the hot and cold taps. Make sure to tighten the handles by rotating your hand in clockwise direction. After fastening, make sure to check whether they are secure or not.

With this, you have finished the process of installation of wall mounted bathroom faucet.
