Issey Miyake Adds Unique Fragrance to Pleats Please Line

Yes, This is a Perfume Bottle

Made in collaboration with perfumer Aurélien Guichard, Issey Miyake's iconic Pleats Please fashion line is taking the dive into the world of perfume with a brand new fragrance named after the line itself. Boasting a fruity-floral combination of pear, nashi fruit, preony and sweat pea, the new fragrance carries on the pleats-inspired motif of the Pleats Please line.

"Pleats never cease to fascinate me, conjuring up a multitude of images. Pleats move and change form with the wearer's every movement. As the pleats move they change colours, creating an optical illusion like a kaleidoscope," explained Issey Miyake. And so came his iconic Pleats Please line that launched in the Eighties, bridging the gap between Western and Eastern fashion.

The fashion success, which has been produced in more than 80 colours and seen collaborations with guest artists including Tim Hawkinson and Yasamura Morimura, gets its own fragrance tomorrow: Pleats Please.
