London surprised us this year and announced that the London Fashion Week will be inspired by no other than the adorable, animated Minnie Mouse and her style. Minnie’s signature polka dot frock will naturally be a reference for several luxury designers, who are collaborating on a special line for the occasion, as a tribute to the only mouse we could ever truly love.

Richard Nicoll,Katie Hillier,Giles Deacon,Terry de Havilland,Lulu Guinnessare just a few of the household names coming together for the collection, “Minnie Mouse Must Haves” with their Minne-inspired designs being revealed at London Fashion Week. Like all the memorable female animated stars, Minnie has a keen eye for fashion and a recognizable style of her own; with the go-to items in her wardrobe including large bows, polka-dotted dresses and classy white gloves the actress was known for wearing.

The satirical references on the runway are much anticipated and we hope to see many polka-dots in the line-up, true to the style of Minnie and the upcoming spring 2013 trend. Following the fashion week, the designer items will be for auction on ebay with proceeds benefitting the British Fashion Council’s Fashion Arts Foundation, a win-win for every involved.
