Make Sure You Fall In Love With Your Jewels Every Time They Come Out Of The Box

De Beers

Whether you popped in to Chris Aire’s Beverly Hills jeweller when you were last in LA or you treated yourself to the latest Cartier or De Beers, necklace you don’t want to take these luxuries for granted. The astounding workmanship and quality jewels which go into these exquisite items of jewelry are the outward signs of the hard work and dedication you put in to earn them. That is why it is so important that you re-fall in love with them, every time you go to put them on.

You want to think about this when you are buying the jewelry in the first place. If you are treating yourself, or a loved one, to a really special item, rather than a casual fashion jewelry piece, then you want to think about the style of the piece and how well it will suit the personality of the intended wearer. Hollie Bonneville Barden phrased it perfectly in her interview with JustLuxe, when asked the extent to which her style influences her jewelry designs she said:

“Ultimately, my goal is to always create jewelry that is wearable, that feels natural but also expresses something unique for the wearer.”

That is obviously why she is De Beers’ Head Designer! But when choosing a really special jewelry gift think about:

  • How practically wearable it is. Do you want it to be worn all the time or now and then?
  • Does it capture the person’s personality?
  •  Is it stylish, rather than the current fashion trend?

Once you have chosen the right necklace, bracelet, earrings or ring you want to think about looking after it. Diamonds are indisputably beautiful, but when they are murky with wear and the setting is looking slightly tarnished and worn they really don’t trigger the same passion.

A perfect birthday or anniversary gift the year after an amazing jewelry gift is to book a service and clean for the item of jewelry and buy a luxurious jewelry box to keep it in. Many jewelers offer free cleaning and servicing of their products after purchase, so it doesn’t cost you a thing but is so thoughtful. You may rightly argue that the item of jewelry came in a box, but it is difficult to keep track of jewelry when it is kept in multiple boxes, a single box where all jewelry can be housed is so much easier and more enjoyable.

You don’t work hard to buy something for it to be discarded after a mere couple of years. Especially when it is so easy to make sure that you/the wearer can love it like the first time, every time.
