Security at New Beverly Hills Tower Caters to Hollywood Elite

Ten Thousand

Ten Thousand, the most distinguished residential high-rise in Los Angeles, recently opened its doors at the cross section of Beverly Hills and Century City. The building has prioritized first-class security as a featured amenity, attracting high profile executives, A-list celebrities, international royalty and the entertainment industry’s elite among its crop of renters drawn to the promise of privacy and essentially a paparazzi-proof lifestyle. The 40-story tower has implemented key initiatives to provide a safe haven onsite to ensure the privacy and security of all residents while at home.

Upon arrival, residents enter behind a tall, shielding row of 12-foot evergreen hedges along Santa Monica Blvd screening its long, broad driveway in privacy, or alternatively, into a steel gated rolling garage offering zero visibility with direct access to the building’s private elevators. Ten Thousand was built with secured keyless entry points, accessible via customized key card to access their residence and amenity spaces both during the day and after hours. Once inside, the custom key card will take the resident via destination elevators using Schindler PORT Technology with RFID sensors directly to their desired floor—enabling complete controlled access that saves residents an average of 20 hours/year in time spent waiting for elevators. Security lock controls on each stairwell prevent access between floors.

The building boasts a 24-hour reception, valet and security, closed circuit television throughout and in-residence Ecobee3 thermostats with motion sensors (with the ability to monitor movement through the resident app). Ten Thousand’s head of security, with experience from the world’s largest privately-owned security services company and luxury hospitality brands, oversees all security operations and 24/7 patrol. Additionally, all Ten Thousand staff undergo detailed security training with a dedicated security consultant specializing in VIPs.

Residents receive a private encrypted WiFi network that is available for use throughout the property, while Ten Thousand’s technology concierge provides round-the-clock support for all tech-related needs. Penthouses include the benefit of in-residence sentry safes to protect their valuables, while all indoor amenity spaces include privacy-enhancing shades for added security.

Ten Thousand’s unprecedented level of hospitality-style service is delivered by a dedicated team of more than 60 professionals – and one robot butler named “CHARLEY” that delivers items such as packages, beverages, birthday cakes and flowers right to residents’ doors, all with the push of a few buttons. All these security features complement the building’s 75,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor amenity spaces including an exclusive one-acre private park that is only available to residents and their guests, onsite boardrooms, fitness center, chauffeured luxury house cars including a Bentley and Rolls Royce and private wine storage. Rents start at $9,000 per month.
