skoah Newbury Street's Hydrating Facial

skoah

Facials are just facials unless they are done at skoah. The skincare brand has recently opened their third Massachusetts location in Chestnut Hill in addition to one in Boston’s Back Bay and another in the South End.

TheVancouver-based skincare brand offers a unique “personal training for your skin” method that ensures healthy, glowing skin and a relaxing spa experience. Each location is designed to look like a chic Canadian cabin, but with a few modern luxuries. The products used here include plant-based ingredients and high-performance active ingredients.

I visited the Newbury Street location recently for acustomized facial, also known as a “skin care workout.” My spa esthetician, Becca, was super friendly and showed me to the back dimly lit room with comfortable heated bed and fluffy comforter. (Facials don’t get more relaxing than this).

We discussed my skin type, skin care routine and any issues I was experiencing then she got to work cleansing the skin with a kream kleanser, toning it with tonik, exfoliating with an aha mask, heating my face with warm towels to prepare for extractions and treating my fine lines with eye kandy and dry skin with a hydradew and moisture induce mask. She finished the 45-minute facial with a luxe application of gold serum, detox face kream and dewlux face kream for added hydration. When I left, my skin was soft, even toned, healthier looking and glowing.

skoah is located at 35 Newbury Street in Boston, Mass. For more information, call (857) 350-4896 or visit them online at www.skoah.com.
