Support the Troops at Boots & Strings Food and Music Festival on 9/14

Hero Helpers of America

One of the biggest events this year is happening on September 14 with the first annual Boots & Strings Food and Music festival being held at Lake Pearl Luciano’s in Wrentham, Mass. The event is sponsored by Hero Helpers of America and Ernie Boch Jr’s Music Drives Us Foundation to benefit troops serving overseas and at home.

This might be your best opportunity to show the troops your support at the end of summer bash being held from noon to 6 p.m. The family event will feature New England bands, including Red Square, Element 78, The Houston Bernard Band, and Dalton & The Sheriffs along with Charlie Farren, Amanda Carr, and Jilly Martin singing the national anthem and the Boston Strong Anthem. More than 20 area restaurants will also be on hand offering tastings.

The day’s activities include special events for little ones like the “Hero Touch-A-Truck” featuring military and first responder trucks, face painting, balloon artists, photo booths and cotton candy.

“Our goal is to make an impact on our service members lives, but also to raise awareness of our service members needs overseas, and at home,” said Lauren Eliopoulos, founder of Hero Helpers of America. “This is a special event for me personally as my brother is currently serving overseas in Afghanistan.”

One hundred percent of all funds raised will directly benefit troops along with those at home suffering from theoverwhelming effects of PTSD.
