Swiss Gold 24K Pizza - The new fad in India

Swiss Gold 24K Pizza

You know that a country is literally minting money when its citizens start devouring the precious yellow metal - just because they can. We thought that the Gold Dosa was a gimmick for publicity, but the Indians really do have an appetite for gold. We came across this restaurant in Mumbai which has got this recipe for 24 karat gold pizzas. Billo’s Cafe claims that they use gold since traditionally, gold has been used in Ayurvedic medicine preparations for reducing stress, building immunity, promoting better blood circulation amongst other perceived benefits.

Modern medicine does not believe ingesting gold helps in any manner, but heck if people must believe in traditional medications, we would rather that they ingest gold then powdered tiger bones.

Named as the Swiss Gold 24 karat pizza, the pizza looks like the usual one with gold foil as the final topping. If your taste buds have the love for bling, then Billo’s Cafe has even tried up with the Indian version of Groupon for a discount. It gets you a 24% bringing the total to Rs. 1199 ($24) instead of the Rs. 1500 that is the actual price. While the cafe delivers to a few suburbs, you will still need to be in Mumbai for a taste of the gold pizza.
