Lifestyle The Definition of Luxury By: Angela Tunner | Editor in Chief and Director | EAT LOVE SAVOR Magazine August 26, 2011 | 0 Comments
THINK AND ‘BE’ MORE LUXURIOUS
While prestige, exclusivity, and premium price tags epitomize the enduring hallmarks of purchasing luxury items, there is so much more to the concept of luxury. A new definition centers on the more easily attainable aspects of the word, ‘luxury’ as a state of mind, a sensory experience. There are many simple, low or no cost luxuries that can shift you into a luxurious way of thinking.
Being luxurious involves how we experience the things around us. Our modern, mass-consumer lifestyles have caused the majority of people to move away from luxurious living, but there is a growing trend toward the aspects of quality and comfort synonymous with luxury living.
LUXURY: THE NEW "NORMAL?"
It’s been said recently by financial forecasters and luxury industry experts that ‘luxury is becoming the norm.’ What do you think? What is your definition of luxury? Do you think it is changing? What is ‘normal’ for you? Email me your thoughts and stories, I’d love to hear your reaction and opinions on the definition luxury and your definition of normal!
