Jacques Polge finally has a successor, and like the kings of old, it's none other than his son. The legendary perfumer and master scent maker behind Channel's world conquering perfume line is passing the reigns, but the king may still yet have some fire left in him – the two will operate jointly for the foreseeable future, and it may yet be some time before Olivier gets his chance on the throne.

Like father, like son. According to reports in WWD, Chanel has formally named a successor to legendary perfumer Jacques Polge. As the force behind Chanel fragrances, Polge has developed every scent produced by the French fashion house for the past 35 years, including Coco, Allure, Chance, and Chanel No.5 Eau Premiere.
