Upgrading Private Jets Due to Demand

As there has been a growth in the demand for private-chartered jets from New York to Rio, Honeywell will be adding a significant amount of power to their line of jets, allowing better range and efficiency for flights.

 

Honeywell International Inc. (HON) plans to boost the power of its largest jet engine by 20 percent to meet demand for business aircraft with enough range to reach high-growth emerging markets like Brazil from the U.S.

New parts able to handle higher temperatures and pressure would produce greater thrust from within the same engine frame as the HTF7000, said Robert Wilson, president of Honeywell’s Business & General Aviation unit.
