Why I'll Only Drive Luxury Cars From Now On

We all (well, most of us) had a beater at one point or another. Eventually, this beater was replaced with a decent used car, likely a Honda, Ford or Chevy. A few years later, we move from the used car to a decent new (or relatively new) car that we were really proud of. Years pass and the new car just didn’t cut it anymore and it was time to upgrade again, to a truly expensive and luxurious car; this period was likely the biggest transitional point in my life, even more so than high school, graduating college or getting married.

Sound hyperbolic? Well, it is not… Hear me out. Going through high school and college were events that, to me, felt like something everyone had to do at some point or another. The same idea kind of applies to getting new cars; I just didn’t feel that there was anything special about them, even my first as I was the last of my group of friends to get one. Now, as far as marriage is concerned, I didn’t feel like it wasn’t a special day or anything like that and I love my wife to death, but I had been with her for 9 years before we got married, so it was more like I was making official that which was already set in stone.

However, when I purchased my brand new 2003 Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG almost ten years ago, I knew I had made it professionally and the confidence from it helped every aspect of my life. No, I will not be getting anything other than high-end cars from now on, and they will only get more and more expensive as time goes on.
