More than 130 of luxury designer Valentino’s creations will be featured at a couture display held at the Somerset House in London. Valentino: Master of Couture will be held from November 29, 2012 to March 3, 2013. The showcase will celebrate the life and work of the Italian designer, including designs worn by icons like Julia Roberts, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, and Gwyneth Paltrow. It will be divided into three parts — the first will feature photographs of Valentino’s world from his personal archive. Visitors will then experience a reverse catwalk where his designs will be exhibited. Finally, the detailed process of crafting will be dissected with the demonstration of Princess Marie Chantal of Greece’s wedding dress, which was created and worn in 1995. A series of talks, screenings and events will also accompany the exhibition.
