John Galliano Rumor Wrap-up

John Galliano getting the boot from Dior has made headlines in more than just fashion publications. While it's still unclear what is to become of the fashion-forward genius, there are plenty of rumors flying around, many of which are likely to be true.

John Galliano was fired from Dior just days before the runway show at Paris Fashion Week. While the show went on, it was unclear who was to be Galliano's replacement as the head of Dior. Earlier this week it was announced that designer Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy was given the honor. Which means that Givenchy will need a replacement.

While Galliano has definitely been fired from the Christian Dior line, it's unclear whether or not Dior has decided to remove the designer from his John Galliano label, which was also shown at fashion week. For now it seems that Dior will continue to support the John Galliano label and seems to have left its namesake in charge.

"For the moment, the (John Galliano) business continues," Dior Chief Executive Sidney Toledano told Reuters. "This is a business which has licences and tomorrow we will show the collection in the showrooms as usual... I am here to prove that business goes on...and to support the teams." As the label barely breaks even, it is unclear how long Dior's financial support will continue.

On the bright side for Galliano, his off-the cuff remarks haven't made him lose support. Many, including his lawyer (who happens to be Jewish), are supporting him and hoping that he gets better. In fact, the guy that originally accused the fashion maestro has said that he doesn't believe that Galliano is actually anti-Semitic, just ill.

Currently, Galliano is said to be in a rehabilitation center being treated for alcoholism and drug addiction. Hopefully, the story is true and Galliano will be back on the runway soon with his fabulous designs!
