Red carpet and bridal favorite Monique Lhuillier has moved into the slightly more affordable range with a new evening wear collection, ML Monique Lhuillier. It is currently available at Saks stores and can be pre-ordered at SaksFifthAvenue.com.

For those who have pined for Lhuillier's feminine ruffled and lace concoctions but balked at spending four or five figures, the new line offers full-length gowns and cocktail dresses from $398 to $798. So far, Saks is showing 12 dresses in jewel tones and fabrics such as taffeta, lace and tulle.

In a press release Lhuillier called the line, "an important milestone for me - to bring my design sensibility to a larger demographic of women who seek glamorous, modern evening wear."

Lhuillier's line was established in 1996 and she is now one of the top bridal and ready-to-wear designers gaining a long list of celebrity clients. Vanessa Minillo recently wore a two-piece Monique Lhuillier ensemble on her wedding day. Lhuillier's collections include ready-to-wear, evening gowns, bridal, bridesmaids, linens, tableware, fine paper and home gifts.

The collection is hitting better department and specialty stores including Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus this month.
