A limo picks you up at the airport and then either returns you to the store to shop or to your lodgings
to plop. Believe it; this is much better than telling a fast-food worker which condiments to hold or to place on your sandwich. That is how the concierge service provided to shoppers of Gene Hillers Menswear works.
Suits, sports coats, shirts, shoes, and sportswear galore is what is in store at this men's only fashion boutique. This shop is an eloquent fashion statement for men in search of excellence. The enclave for upscale men's clothing has received acclaim worldwide over its more than 56-year history. The Sausalito-based classic men's store has received acknowledgments of excellence in service and merchandise from the likes of Esquire Magazine
, and the Italian Trade Commission.
General managing partner Wayne Kaleck calls the shop a feel-good-store experience for his customers. The upscale retailer also sets a shining example of how a good business strives to make its community a better place. For years, GHM has sponsored events year round to raise both funds and awareness for charities and research projects, such as the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma County and the Marin County Cancer Society.
For a good cause, GHM puts its best fashion shows forward whether it is the annual in-store Christmas fashion show or a show set up remotely. The gala Christmas event draws more than 300 attendees yearly. Check out the GHM in-house produced show, The Classic Male, hosted by Wayne Kaleck. Hollywood actor and Sausalito-local Joshua Fredric Smith is the featured guest on the show's current segment. It includes a sneak peak of the upcoming theatrical release The Road to Freedom. The film was shot in Cambodia and will be out this fall.
The big shop of men's fashion is located just off of the Golden State Bridge.
