Beadboard UpCountry Introduces Knitwear Line

Fashion & Style: Beadboard UpCountry is a self-described "Euro-Country lifestyle and design source located in a beautifully restored bank on the Upper East Side of the town square in picturesque Brenham, Texas," run by Maryanne Flaherty. The store has recently introduced a line of knitwear with a "French twist."

The Fall 2010 Knitwear collection is filled with capes, boleros, shawls, long gloves with the fingers cut out so you can text, all with feminine colors and lots of ruffles. Each piece is cozy, yet chic and many are versatile enough to be worn multiple ways, like the Ruana wrap, which can double as a skirt.

The collection is very luxurious and European looking, yet durable enough to wear everyday or to cozy up by an Autumnal fire, as the nights grow cooler. In addition to basic solids, some pieces integrate another color for an extra special twist, like the delicate pink ruffles on the black stole, which comes with an optional crocheted flower broach.

Best of all, the knitwear is customizable, so you can pick and choose the palette that works best with your Fall wardrobe.
