Guava nectar, mandarin and pear— the scents of Rihanna’s childhood in Barbados— make up the perfume’s composition, along with orange blossom, gardenia petals and vanilla orchid.
While the juice itself is launching with great anticipation, it’s the product’s ad campaign that is stirring up audiences. While Rihanna looks happy and healthy in cream-colored lingerie, the advertisement is decidedly “too hot” for stores, and an alternate image was created for retail distribution. Additionally, critics are questioning Rihanna for sporting obviously-died platinum blonde strands for a product with a name that suggests going “au naturel.”
