Melvita French Organic Skincare Line Comes to the States

Health & Beauty: Melvita has long been France's favorite organic skincare line and has finally become available Stateside.

Founded in 1977 by beekeeper Bernard Chevilliat, Melvita products hold the EcoCert seal of approval for organic products.

The range of products, which extends to deodorant and shampoo, in addition to supplements, men's products and a line for expectant mothers, is founded around the bounty of bees and their nutrient-rich honey.

"The bee is the vector of life and a symbol of the fragility of the world. The name means 'honey and life' in Latin," Chevilliat told StyleList.

Priced from $3 to $56, Melvita also includes treats that taste as sweet as they smell, like pure lavender honey, organic flower pollen and honey and pine sap sugar drops.

Melvita stores are currently open in San Francisco, Seattle and Newport Beach. Until Melvita comes to your neck of the woods, you can find Melvita at usa.melvita.com.
