Health & Beauty: Nipple covers and pasties aren't exactly what you would call luxe must-haves. But new jewelry designer Leah Ball is set to change that mindset with her new collection of body jewelry, known as the Pasties Project.

Rather than a hint of bra peeking out of a sheer shirt, the Pasties Project brings metal into the world of nipple coverage, for an unusual yet luxurious futuristic take on pasties.

Ball's couture nipple covers are more than just glitz and glitter. They are crafted out of precious metals and jewels and sure to get folks talking.

Influenced by different cultures and historical women, each unique pair of pasties has a story to tell, "Some are cheeky, others feisty, all of them are sexy, provocative and an interesting play on the ideas of lingerie, jewelry and the avant garde."

Thanks to an investment from the upstart website Kickstarter, Leah's Pasties Project has been featured in blogs from Urban Outfitters to Refinery29, even though it is still in the pre-order stages.
