British luxury goods brand Lara Bohinc, which features a range of fashion accessories including bags, scarves, and jewelry for both men and women, is headquartered out of a boutique found on London’s Sloan Street. However, Lara Bohinc fine jewelry and adornments can be found in department stores around the globe including Harrods, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, and select boutiques. The brand boasts a number of royal and celebrity admirers including Princess Victoria of Sweden, Claudia Schiffer, and Maria Sharapova.
The Lara Bohinc autumn and winter 2012 lookbook showcases the brand’s signature style through several collections, ranging from contemporary and sleek to heavy-bodied and opulent. The Eye Sterling Silver Jewelry Collection features a line of necklaces, earrings, and bracelets jeweled with 18 karat, gold plated “eyes,” pupiled with black onyx and zirconium.
The combination of sterling silver links and the gold and black onyx details make for a compilation of polished statement pieces that are uniquely modern. On the other hand, the Orange Fashion Jewelry Collection is boldly ornate, fusing a multitude of textured metals and Swarovski crystals. The Orange Choker, plated in yellow bronze and studded with crystals, is reminiscent of piece of jewelry from the era of Queen Cleopatra.
The Orange Ring, also plated in yellow bronze, gapes like a broken egg, revealing beautifully studded inner surfaces a top a textured ring base. For those with a taste in something more delicate, the Planetaria Collection offers celestially inspired pieces, such as the Planetaria Bracelet 20, crafted with a quartz bead, sterling silver, and glittering jewels. The Sun and Moon Ring is an abstract rendering of light and dark, utilizing a beautiful contrast between white agate and black onyx stones.
The Tatjana Collection is comprised of several intricately detailed pieces that suggest inspiration from Eastern European roots, while the Balcony and Collision Collections offer a futuristic appeal to the luxury jewelry line.
