This April, Bulova launched their Diamond Gallery collection at BaselWorld Watch and Jewelry Show in Basel, Switzerland which will feature handset, conflict-free diamond watches in their Bulova, Bulova Accutron, and Caravelle by Bulova lines. The event was held to show the brand's continued strive toward luxury and excellence.
“Over the past 138 years Bulova has been an industry leader in diamond timepiece innovation and design, with every diamond in our collection set by hand,” Gregory Thumm, President of Bulova said at the event’s opening, “Embarking on Fall 2013, the Bulova brand continues to define itself as a prestige lifestyle brand – propelling forward in both premier technology and alluring designs.” The watches in the Diamond Gallery range greatly in style, color, and number of diamonds on each piece. Although different in shape (rectangular, oval, and round), most watch faces are surrounded by individual diamonds or hold a diamond on each hour of the face. Small elements of color including purple stingray straps, rose gold plating, and mother of pearl faces give the collection a bit of personality and stylish aesthetic.
The unisex collection is done in stainless steel with gold, rose-gold, and silver finishes and the entire line is water resistant up to at least 30 meters. The Bulova event "…aimed to make time stand still, allowing all of our guests to experience the beauty of diamonds and the ambience of elegance and refinement.” said Tricia Norton, Bulova Corporation Chief Marketing Officer, Global. Combining functionality and delicate luxury, the diamond studded watches easily exceed that goal. Simple lines and classic stones ensure the timelessness of the collection. The prestigious event was also marked with French artist Franck Bouroullec creating a Marilyn Monroe “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” painting specifically for the occasion.
The Diamond Gallery collection will be released October of this year online and at select retailers. Pieces are priced from $895-$1,995.
